Deanna K. Weiss, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist who has provided comprehensive treatment to adults, families and children for over 20 years. Dr. Weiss completed her undergraduate degree with honors in Psychology from the University of Illinois, Urbana and her graduate masters and doctorate degrees with honors in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. She has completed internship, residency and post-doctoral training from facilities including University of Chicago Hospital, Chicago Children’s Memorial Hospital, Alexian Brothers Hospital and Tinley Park Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Center (inpatient training). Dr. Weiss is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Illinois Psychology Association, and the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA).

Dr. Weiss incorporates warmth, humor and cognitive/interpersonal and solution based-methods into her practice. She collaborates with her patients toward the development of meaningful therapy goals. Her training and experience allow her to thoughtfully assist individuals dealing with stress, anxiety, grief, and difficulties with transitions. Dr. Weiss focuses part of her practice on working with psychological issues related to medical illness and family adjustment to medical problems.

In addition to her private practice therapy services, Dr. Weiss provides a seminar series to parents, teachers, and medical/mental health practitioners. Topics are focused within her areas of interest in anxiety disorder, medical psychology and clinical insomnia. Dr. Weiss also enjoys participation in corporate events focused on mental health and prevention and has spoken on corporate topics including healthy work environments, stress management and conflict resolution in work settings.
