As you are considering therapy, it is quite helpful to learn more about the fit between you and your doctor. Doing so usually leads to more successful treatment.  I greatly respect the clients that I work with and strive to bring warmth, humor and solution-based methods into my practice. I am continuously inspired by the resilience and creativity of my patients, even during the most difficult of times, and utilize these areas of strength during the therapeutic process.

I have been so grateful for the career experiences I have had over the years because they have afforded me many wonderful opportunities to learn from others. My background includes schooling and work experiences from facilities including The University of Chicago Hospital, Chicago Children's Memorial Hospital and Alexian Brothers Hospital. My work in private practice has included directing effective and well regarded therapy programs, teaching graduate students, developing peer consultation groups and providing educational programs to medical/mental health practitioners, teachers, and parents.

As a licensed clinical psychologist, I am professionally trained to consider all factors related to emotional well being. I focus on building consistent collaborations with my patients and help guide resolve to emotional struggles and life transitions. I have special interest in Anxiety/Mood Disorders, Psychological Adjustment to medical illness, Family and Parenting issues, as well as Clinical Insomnia.
